🌙Who we are
Moon & Mortar: A Ritual Supply Shop
Rooted in Portland. Grown with magic.
In the heart of Portland, Oregon—where moss climbs brick, rain nourishes ritual, and creative resistance pulses through every neighborhood—Moon & Mortar was born as both a spell and a sanctuary.
We are Daphne and Freya, two witches, two friends, and two neurodivergent women who longed for a place where spiritual practice could be reclaimed by the people—where no one is too young, too queer, too poor, too skeptical, too disabled, or too different to belong.
So we built it.
🕯️ A Shop for the Margins and the Magical
Moon & Mortar is a woman-owned, queer-owned, disability-owned small business. But more than that, it’s a love letter to the seekers society often overlooks.
We created this space to be radically inclusive—a place where traditionally excluded people can explore their magic, connect with ancient practices, and craft rituals that reflect who they truly are. We believe witchcraft should never be gatekept, aestheticized beyond reach, or stripped of its power. It should be accessible, adaptable, and alive in the hands of those who need it most.
Whether you're casting your first spell or deepening a decades-long practice, you're welcome here.
🌿 Our Offerings
We source and create ritual tools for the real world—herbs, crystals, spell kits, tarot decks, altar goods, and spiritual supplies designed to support intuitive practice and healing. Every item we offer is selected with care and infused with purpose.
Our work is inspired by Portland’s creative independence, local plant magic, and the belief that art, protest, and spirituality are all forms of resistance.
🌕 Our Ethos
We believe:
Magic is inherently inclusive and often found on the fringe.
Spiritual practice should be financially accessible and culturally respectful.
Healing isn’t linear, and rituals should meet people where they are—messy, growing, evolving.
We honor plant spirits and protect energetics.
We reject ableism, elitism, and performative witchcraft.
We are not here to sell fear. We are here to offer tools for remembering your own power.
🌒 Our Invitation
Come as you are—curious, cautious, bold, skeptical, or bruised by dogma. Bring your grief and your glitter. Your lineage and your longing. Your doubts, your intuition, your rage, and your hope.
Moon & Mortar is a place to reconnect to ritual, reclaim your intuition, and remember that magic has always belonged to you.
With love, roots, and rebellion,
Daphne & Freya
